Congratulations to all projects that’ve been shortlisted for the New Zealand Architectural awards. An amazing line up from across the country from a variety of architects and construction teams.
Our team has contributed to not one, but two projects shortlisted for the 2024 Architectural Awards. Take a look at the stunning projects below:
Waikato University, The Pā stair nosings and tactiles
The Pā project, an architectural marvel located on the Waikato University Campus in Hamilton, was headed by Architectus, Jasmax, and Design Tribe. Spanning 7,500 square meters, this structure has already received multiple awards for its beauty and authenticity. It has now been shortlisted in the Education sector for the National Architecture Awards.
Total Tactilez played a pivotal role in this project, providing stair nosings and tactiles for both the interior and exterior spaces. Our aesthetic safety solutions seamlessly integrate into the build, enhancing the grandeur of the building. Our installations include:
Whangarei Civic Centre Te Iwitahi - tactile studs and bard
The Te Iwitahi - Whangarei Civic Centre project, designed by TEAM Architects Auckland, has also received a nomination. This 8,200 square meter project is now a central staple in Whangarei, finding its way onto the Commercial architecture shortlist for Auckland.
Total Tactilez contributed 7.3 square meters of tactiles surrounding the project. The Polyurethane Tacile studs and Tactile Bars enhance safety for the visually impaired, making the building more accessible for the community.
