EV Installs in the Deep South

As EV installation specialists, our Christchurch-based team has delivered charging solutions for electric cars and buses all over the South Island - from busy urban sites to remote project locations. We’ve installed these chargers at over 20 different locations for a variety of clients around the South Island. We’re experienced working on live forecourts and high-traffic areas, where strict HSQE requirements and careful planning are essential to keeping everything running safely and smoothly.

With a crew that can travel anywhere our clients need us, we make rolling out new EV infrastructure straightforward and stress-free. If you’re planning your next charger installation, our team can guide you through the process and help you get your project underway.

Invercargill:

We recently completed the installation of EV chargers at Z on Dee Street in Invercargill for ECL Group. The project began with careful GPR service location to ensure all underground utilities were identified before excavation. Existing works within the area were protected, and Airvac excavations were carried out where services were confirmed on the provided plans.

The team then constructed two combined concrete slabs to accommodate the chargers, switchboard, and canopy, while temporary gates were installed to secure the work area. Supplied bollards were fitted, line marking was set out and installed, and all trench lines were reinstated with asphalt. Additionally, ducting was supplied and installed, and inspection pits provided by ECL Group were installed to complete the project.

Our team ensured the EV charging installation was completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, helping Invercargill move toward a more sustainable future.

Wanaka:

We also recently wrapped up the installation of EV chargers at New World in Wanaka for Charge Net. The work included careful preparation of the site, constructing new concrete pads for the chargers, installing bollards, and setting up ducting and line marking for the carpark.

We also upgraded the surrounding area, installing new kerbs and refreshing the garden spaces with planting and broken schist as ground cover. Temporary gates were used to keep the site safe while works were underway.

The result is a fully functional, safe, and well-integrated EV charging area, helping Wanaka move toward more sustainable transport options.
