Colemans Road Watermain Upgrade Project Update

Our team has been completing essential water main upgrades along Colemans Road in Blenheim for the Marlborough District Council. Preparing the network for the new Rose Manor subdivision and the continued growth happening across the region. As more homes are built, ensuring the community has reliable, future-proofed infrastructure becomes increasingly important. Upgrading these critical assets now helps maintain water quality, improves network resilience, and reduces the risk of failures as demand increases.

The works include:
• Potholing to identify and protect existing services
• Replacing more than 900m of water main
• Testing and chlorination to ensure water quality
• Cut-over works
• Reinstatement delivered across four stages

We’re now in the final stage of the replacement, with reinstatement and site tidy-up on track for completion by the end of November. Project Manager Stu McLaughlan has been working hard to ensure the Marlborough District Council is satisfied with the works and that the public faces as little disruption as possible. The area of work contains a crossing commonly used by local school students. Our team has worked alongside the school to ensure that the crossing is able to remain open for students. It is actively supervised by a CMT crew member at the end of school hours to keep students safe and reduce the inconvenience for parents.

Strengthening infrastructure like this supports the safe, steady expansion of our communities and we’re glad to play our part in keeping the region moving forward.
