Our commitment to enhancing social housing in Marlborough is stronger than ever. As a key partner of Kāinga Ora, we are proud to be leading the development of the largest social housing subdivisions in the region.
We are pleased to share updates on two significant projects for Kāinga Ora currently underway. The smaller subdivision on George Street is progressing well, and the larger Stratford Street subdivision has just commenced. Our dedicated team is focused on delivering high-quality homes on time and within budget. Our projects are built following H1 standards and we regularly undertake Homestar inspections to ensure we’re providing warm, healthy houses. In addition, we are making big efforts to reduce our environmental impact by using quality batts made from recycled bottles and waffle slabs made from other recycled materials.
The George Street subdivision is a show of efficient project management and skilled craftsmanship. This small project consists of two buildings and is set to be completed in under five months. As we pass the halfway mark, we're proud to report that the project is progressing right on schedule.

Currently in the early stages, our team has completed much of the initial underground civil work, concrete pad pours and floor frames. Although stormy weather has posed challenges, our team has taken it in stride. This project is set to keep our team busy and motivated as we work towards providing much-needed housing for the Marlborough community. Project Manager Rob Miller is grateful to be involved in both of these key projects and is excited to produce more quality buildings for Kāinga Ora.
